Ghosts have to move with the times along with everyone else, and this superbly creeply modern horror story introduces a tech savvy spectre. A family move to a crumbling Sussex mansion, intent on renovation, and encounter the ghost of an old woman. Not only does the spook glide through the walls and set fires, but she hacks emails, looms into Facetime chats, and sends sinister text messages. With clever use of time lapse and dream sequences James plays with your expectations – creating a convincing and genuinely terrifying tale that, in the best old-fashioned tradition, will frighten the wits out of you in a most enjoyable way.
