James writes a complex but moving tale with excellent police procedure, unique characters, and even though it’s a lengthy read, he keeps you intrigued. Jumping from the past to the present, he slowly reveals the similarities and the differences and shows you how some things aren’t as they seem, guilty looking individuals may not be but everyone has a secret or two.
