-And a very happy and healthy New Year to you too Peter!
May I take this opportunity in thanking you for providing us, your readers with so much incredibly exciting reading this past year.
It must be a wonderful feeling for an author to know that there are thousands of avid fans out there, all relishing the thought of turning in for an early night with the latest PJ book - Wow!

The Christmas present list was easy this year...PJ books all round Now you have even more fans Peter!
Having thrown a New Year's Eve party last night, we jokingly said what a laugh it would be to throw a 'Roy Grace themed party' sometime this coming year....what a thought?!! - everyone dressed as their own particular hero!
So, here's a question for other fans out there....Which character would you adopt?
So, Peter, if you should see a few of your well known and loved characters around these parts of Sussex in the coming months, you'll know they are all heading for a 'PJ Themed Party'!!
All the best
A Fan - from sunny Seaford

Lizzie

Thank you soooooo much for this lovely post! It certainly helped clear away my hangover by making me smile so much!

Love the ideas of the Roy Grace themed party. Now who is going to turn up disguised as his creator...!!!!????

All very best wishes for 2010

Peter Happy New Year and I hope the holiday is going well. I am planning to save like mad this year and hopefully have enough to ski this time next year or some time next winter season. I am going to try my hand at snowboarding again, which I am not very good at. But I am determined to crack it, I have started so I am going to finish. Hope your trip with World Champion Snowboarder went well.

Now if I were a Roy Grace character, my first thought is Sopie in Not Dead Enough but unfortunately she doesnt last that long so i would love to be Cleo she is wonderful clever and knows exactly what she wants and she is hugely independent, none of which are me at all so it would make a real change for me. Thank you fan from Seaford, good game. Happy New Year. Jacqueline

Hi Jacqueline, thanks, I survived the ski trip with the world champ - just!!!

Interesting your thoughts re Sophie! There is definitely game potential here!!! All very best for 2010 and hope you make that snowboarding!

Thanks for your kind comments PJ & JT..
Thinking of books...and all good reading, I'm wondering if my fellow readers (and author of course!) could give me a bit of info/advice please?
I'm 'vaguely' interested in the possibility of purchasing an 'e reader' or 'Kindle'....I don't know anything about such things, as not really a gadget sort of girl. However, having read some of the blurb about the benefits, I am beginning to change my mind. Yes, I know I don't fit into the 'under 25 sector' - who are, apparently the target group for the future of these gadgets, but what the heck, who says a fifty year old can't get get to grips with one?
Trouble is, what do I opt for? A Sony e reader or go for the Amazon 'Kindle'?? - Or do I wait a while until initial problems are overcome? Oooh, what do I decide?!
Incidentally, whatever I end up choosing must be compatible with any future e book releases Peter!
Any helpful info much appreciated.

Hi Lizzie

Don't worry about the age grouping - on the Radio 4 Front Row show I was interviwed on on Dec 29th Mark Lawson said the average age of electronic book buyers is far older than the target - many in the 40 - 60+ bracket - so we're cool!!!

I have a Sony e-Reader and an iPhone with the Roy Grace app, but I would beb inclined to wait a few months as most of the e-books at the moment are first generation and there are some exciting new ones, like a new Kindle and the Apple tablet book coming soon. Don't worry, the Roy Grace e-books will be compatible with all of them! Very best wishes, Peter

Thanks Peter - indeed, whispers regarding 'The Tablet' sound very exciting and certainly one to watch out for.
I certainly think this is the way of reading for the future and actually can't wait to get started with an e reader now!
Cheers

Hi there Peter

I am a first time poster on here, long time reader! I just wanted to stop in and wish you all the best for the forthcoming year. I have read Prophecy and The Truth over the Christmas break and was blown away by both of them. I must admit to sleeping with the light on after finishing Prophecy at 1am! My mum is currently reading your new book, and tells me it is fantastic - I can't wait to read it after her.

Please don't stop writing such wonderful books, I think you are an amazing author and hope that you continue writing for many years to come.

Kind regards
Polly

I categorically deny that Peter ever beat me in any race anywhere in the world. It was a dead heat. It always is. Which is surprising as I am a much better skier than he is - even on old fashioned skis. :-) But he writes (marginally) better than wot I do. Except he can't spell Ski+board. It's not Snow and Board, Peter! Arnie Wilson

Hi Peter, just wanted to say how much I enjoyed 'Dead Tomorrow' and I can't wait for the next Roy Grace novel. I know it will be as thrilling as the other five. Can you tell me which ones are being made into films for tv and when will they be screened? All the best for 2010 for you and your family.
Kind regards, Babs x

Hi Babs

Thanks so much and all the best also for 2010!

The Roy Grace series is in development at the moment with ITV - but no start date for production is set yet.

All best, Peter
