A Very Happy New Year To All My Wonderful Readers!
I am thrilled to be able to tell you that Roy Grace is ending 2007 on a high. Not Dead Enough has been No 1 in WH Smith and Tesco, and is currently in its fifth consecutive week at No 2 on the official Nielsen UK paperback fiction bestseller list - all thanks to you.

In June 2008 Roy Grace will be back in hardback, in Dead Man's Footsteps.

Thank you all so much for your support and every good wish for 2008

Hi Peter

Could you tell me if the charachter Roy Grace was physically modelled on anyone in particular. When i'm reading the stories and make a mental picture it's Nat Parker from the Linley mysteries on TV that springs to mind.

Nellie

Hi Nellie - career wise he is partially modelled on a real serving Sussex detective. Physically he is modelled on someone I have met, but not an actor. But an interesting guess!!!

All best

Hi Peter,

Before your first Dead book, I had never read anything regarding a murder mystery before. I was stuck on Sci-Fi and had been since I was a child. I was out of reading material and picked up Dead Simple after my wife finished it. I read it cover to cover in no time and absolutely loved it. I am now reading Looking Good Dead and am thoroughly enjoying it as well. Thanks for bringing me out of my Sci-Fi slump! You are a fine author.

Hi Peter,
I read your book Prophecy years ago and have been addicted since - including the Roy Grace books. I love your supernatural themes and I like that Roy is open to some of it too!

Looking forward to your next one.

Best wishes,
Mags.

Hi Mags

Thanks very much - and I'm glad to hear you like the supernatural themes. They will be appearing in some of the future Roy Grace novels but not all.

Very best wishes for 2008
