Peter's blog
Wednesday, December 19, 2007 Simon Mayo Radio Interview I was interviewed recently on the Simon Mayo book show on Radio 5, alongside James Lee Burke. We each had to read the other's latest book in advance of the show, so we could comment. He read "Not Dead Enough" and I read his marvellous "The Tin Roof Blowdown" which resonated with me incredibly, because it is all about New Orleans in the immediate days following Hurricane Katrina -- and I visited there last year, one year on from the hurricane. You can see my own blog on the subject which I wrote last year and you can listen to the show in which our books are discussed by a panel in the studio and outside listeners - here's a direct link to the MP3 file (6 MB, so it might take a little while to download). posted by Peter James at 2:55 PM 2 comments Comments:
Interesting podcast. I never would have thought of your books as 'toilet books', but at least he meant it in a good way!! Hi Matt, so long as people read them and enjoy them I don't mind where!!! Just so long as they don't tear out the pages.... !!! By Peter James, at 6:14 PM |
